With perfect performances from each actor, this film managed to capture the essence of the military experience, reminding viewers of the antics seen in real-life. The portrayal of the commander is particularly relatable, resonating with those who have served in the armed forces. The film's underdog story, coupled with submarine battles and decent humor, makes it an enjoyable watch. As an added bonus, the film concludes with a laugh-inducing scene that leaves viewers satisfied. For those seeking a feel-good movie, Down Periscope is the perfect choice. The film's arrival was prompt and undamaged, seamlessly replacing an old VHS tape that had been worn out. The chemistry among the cast members is evident, and they expertly bring the storyline to life. With its fun and entertaining nature, this movie is highly recommended for anyone in need of a good laugh. While the overall viewing experience was enjoyable, one drawback was the lack of English subtitles.
