It has a lot of functional and well-designed video adjustments, as well as dual HDMI input/output allowing other devices to benefit from Darbee processing. Its deinterlacing and scaling is as good as any player in the market, and its BD playback is even better than expected thanks to Darbee's positive impact. It can also play back almost any format of audio or video stored on networks, including high-res audio, without disruption. The Darbee processing enhances detail-definer resolution so that 1080p looks as detailed as genuine 4K even at screen sizes of 100 inches and smaller. It has a few drawbacks such as glitches occasionally when playing HD DVDs and not being supported by updates since it has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Overall, the Oppo BDP-103D is highly recommended for people who want to upgrade to a high-end DVD player.
