The Riorand DC motor speed controller is a great product for controlling motors, lighting, etc by limiting the voltage to the item. It is not an on or off switch, but an attenuator. One customer used it to control the speed of wiper motors in their Halloween prop. Another customer used it to rebuild a non-functional, high-$ back-pack lawn sprayer pump. They found that a $70 OEM replacement could be accomplished with a far simpler, variable speed $4 solution. The product is rated 36vdc and 5 amps. However, another customer found that the onboard pptc resettable fuse is rated at 2.5a and it should be rated at about 2A. The knob can be removed to mount the electronics inside a project box and the knob outside the box. The shaft is 1/4" diameter. The product does not allow reverse mode. It Consumes some power as long as it is powered on, but should only be on when the item being controlled is turned on. The input/output connections are well marked and easy to use. One customer received a bad product, with bad soldering joints, but the other one they received worked fine.
