The USA version is of better quality than the Chinese one which feels cheaper. The cheaper version seems to offer all the flipping fun needed and the more expensive one is overpriced. The BaliYo is not magnetic and some customers found it hard to write with. The pen is made of plastic and has wobbly pivot joints. The BaliYo performs a couple of tricks and is capable of being a good balisong ink pen, however, it has received criticism for breaking easily and being completely impractical.
