What drill bit size do I need for these?
Answer: Just use a 3.5mm drill for wood. -

Can someone explain what this plastic thing is for?
Answer: The plastic thing is called an anchor and it is used for sheetrock installation. You make a little hole in the sheetrock, force there this anchor with a tight fit. Then you screw your hook into the anchor that expands inside the sheetrock for better grip. -

What is the weight load per hook?
Answer: Although the description says up to 100lb workload, it has not been tested to that. It depends on the material you'll be using them in to get the true hold rating. -

Just to make sure, these are not zinc plated right?
Answer: No, they are stainless steel.
