LEUCHTTURM1917 Hardcover Executive Notebooks Editorial Review
The Leuchtturm Hardcover Pocket A6 Ruled Notebook has emerged as a strong contender in the world of pocket notebooks, often compared to the renowned Moleskine. Users have found that while Leuchtturm presents some minor caveats, its overall design and features can effectively meet the diverse needs of journalers and note-takers alike. Many customers express their appreciation for the slight differences in design such as the fainter ruled lines, which help minimize distractions while writing, and the inclusion of numbered pages, which enhances organizational capabilities. The presence of a pocket and a ribbon marker further adds to the notebook's functionality. Most notable is the paper quality that allows for broader ink compatibility, particularly with wetter fountain pens, without the common issue of bleed-through—something that tends to trouble Moleskine users. Yet, while the paper performs well with many inks, there are some challenges with exceptionally wet inks leading to feathering or show-through, although not necessarily bleed-through. Despite a few requests for improvements, like a stiffer cover and a preference for creamier paper, most reviewers find the Leuchtturm to hold its ground against Moleskine. Many users have fully integrated the Leuchtturm notebook into their writing routines, citing its robustness and quality. The attraction to a family-run brand further enhances the notebook’s appeal for customers seeking authenticity in their stationery. In summary, the Leuchtturm Hardcover Pocket A6 Ruled Notebook is celebrated for its design, versatile paper, and practical features, appealing to both casual users and serious writers alike. It’s positioned as a worthy alternative to Moleskine, with individual preferences guiding the final choice between the two. **
